Spirit SpA Genova was the Italian importer between 1985 and 1988 so this whisky is bottled between that period (and distilled between 1975 and 1978) Every now and then we find one of these bottles in Italy. Although they are becoming hard to get, we stil have some stock left ;-)

This is much and much better than the Laphroaig 10y of the last 5-10 years, although it can not compete with the `unblended` ones. I do like this older Laphroaig`s, much more pronounced peat and more complex nose and taste (incl. mango), and more power (what a difference 43 versus 40). 89-91p
